Julian Wichmann wins Wissenschaftspreis 2016

Julian Wichmann, graduate of the University of Cologne and PhD student at the chair for retailing and customer management, has won the Wissenschaftspreis 2016 with his Master's thesis "Data Driven Audience Targeting in Online Advertising - Key Drivers of Quality". The Wissenschaftspreis is awarded by the EHI Foundation and GS1 Germany and honors theses, dissertations, and research projects with high relevance and feasibility for the retail sector, innovative approaches and a strong scientific method. We congratulate him on this outstanding achievement.

Prof. Reinartz elected as Speaker of the German Marketing Chapter

At the annual meeting of the Marketing Chapter of the German Academic Association for Business Research (VHB) („Wissenschaftliche Kommission Marketing" im Verband der Hochschullehrer für Betriebswirtschaft e.V.), Prof. Reinartz has been elected as the new speaker for the chapter. He will take up his term as of July 2016. Furthermore, the annual meeting 2017 will take place at the University of Cologne from Jan 26-27.

Data science is transforming marketing

Data science is transforming marketing, not least in how we develop, target, buy, and evaluate media and marketing communications. Engaging consumers in this new data-driven world is complex and unwieldy, and managers must understand and be prepared for disruption in all areas of marketing planning, execution, and evaluation and measurement. Professor Reinartz will present at this MSI Conference at New York University on February 24-25, 2016.
